Collaboration funded by State Apprenticeship Expansion Grant

In 2017, the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration awarded New Hampshire’s community college system a $1.2 million State Apprenticeship expansion grant. This grant allows CCSNH to expand apprenticeship opportunities in healthcare, IT and advanced manufacturing, increasing opportunities for people looking to learn new skills or enter a new career.

More recently, CCSNH received an additional $850,000 from the U.S. Department of Labor to extend our work developing apprenticeship programs through the fall of 2020. With these additional funds, CCSNH is adding the hospitality and construction industries to the list of target employers, in an effort to stay aligned with business demand in the state and with other workforce education/training programs in New Hampshire.

Support if you need it, guidance when you need it

Because of the apprenticeship grant, ApprenticeshipNH has money to offset the cost of training for people and companies that qualify. We want to help people obtain training, and to help companies find those people. Contact us to learn more about scholarships and employer training funds.

The ApprenticeshipNH office is staffed by apprenticeship guides from New Hampshire’s community colleges. They’re available to help you apply for an apprenticeship, set up a training program, and navigate any financial questions. They are also involved in other workforce development efforts across the state and region.
