ApprenticeshipNH, a program that seeks to address workforce needs in various sectors throughout the state through a combination of classroom instruction and on-the-job training, will hold a networking and panel discussion event on Friday, June 15. The event will be held from 8:30 to 10 am in room 100 at Manchester Community College (MCC), 1066 Front Street in Manchester. New Hampshire businesses and community members are encouraged to join the discussion which will focus on the positive impact apprenticeship programs have on the partnering businesses, as well as the benefits apprentices receive from participating.
“The event at MCC will serve as an opportunity for companies in the technology, healthcare and advanced manufacturing sectors to hear from other businesses about how participating in the ApprenticeshipNH program has benefitted their company,” said Emily Zeien, grant manager for ApprenticeshipNH. “This initiative provides workers with invaluable opportunities to pursue highly-skilled, high-paying jobs, and opportunities for employers seeking to build a qualified workforce in New Hampshire. It’s a great opportunity for companies to ask questions and learn about the unique value proposition ApprenticeshipNH can provide for both the company and the individual.”
The June 15 event will feature networking and a panel discussion with professionals from companies that have existing apprenticeship programs through ApprenticeshipNH and the chance to obtain information about sponsoring a Registered Apprenticeship program. Attendees will be able to hear from Jonathan DaSilva, regional learning manager for CVS Health, Emily Gaudette, director of organizational development at Catholic Medical Center, and Hope Kelly, director of human resources at Granite State Manufacturing.
